Fainting is a brief, sudden loss of posture and conciseness caused by reduced blood flow to the brain. Pregnancy, anemia, age and dehydration are some contributors; others include heart conditions and diabetes. Fainting may also happen due to stress, hunger fear, anxiety or pain; if it happens without provocation, an underlying condition maybe be present. see your doctor to rule out a serious illness if fainting occurs more than once.
Peppermint essential oil promotes mental alertness a can help a fainting victim quickly. Loosen any tight clothing raise the victims’ feet above height and place the open bottle of peppermint essential oil under the nose, taking care not to allow the essential oil to come into contact with the skin. Allow the victim to take several breathes before removing the bottle. Use lavender or rosemary essential oil if you don’t have peppermint on hand.
