Ringworm is a fungal infection of the skin. Characterized by circular red patches with raised borders, severe itching, and a tendency to spread rapidly, ringworm is highly contagious but responds very well to treatment. If your rash develops blisters or appears to be infected, seek medical treatment; antibiotics are often prescribed when home treatments fail.
Neat Tea Tree Treatment:
Tea tree essential oil soothes the itching and pain that accompany ringworm and effectively kills the fungus that causes it. Using a cotton swab, apply a small amount of tea tree essential oil to each affected area. Repeat this treatment 2 times a day until the ringworm fades.
