Thrush can affect anyone, but it is most common in babies and elderly people. It is caused when a type of yeast called candida grows out of control and is exacerbated by a weak immune system. Thrush brings itching, pain, and white patches that look a bit like cottage cheese. Give essential oils 2 to 3 days to work; if thrush does not improve or gets worse, contact your doctor.
